Boxer brief or trunk

A boxer brief has a longer leg that sits mid-thigh — better under trousers if you want no ride-up, and the more common choice. A trunk is cut shorter in the leg and squarer, which suits a slimmer build and sits better under close-fitting jeans. Both use the same cotton stretch and the same waistband.

Sizing and care

Calvin Klein underwear is true to size and does not shrink much, so take your usual waist rather than sizing up. Wash at 30 and skip the tumble dryer — heat is what perishes the elastic in the waistband, and a dead waistband is what ends a pair long before the cotton wears out.
