Lacoste men's knitwear — cotton and wool-blend crew necks, half zips and zip-through cardigans, cut on the same principles as the polo: clean lines, structured cotton, and a collar or neckline that holds its shape.

Which knit. A cotton crew neck is the year-round one here — light enough for a mild Irish autumn and easy over a polo or a tee. Half zips run warmer and read slightly sportier. Wool blends are the warmest and the smartest of the three.

Sizing. Lacoste uses French numeric sizing: 3 = Small, 4 = Medium, 5 = Large, 6 = XL, 7 = XXL. Knitwear is cut closer than the classic-fit polos, so if you want room to layer, take the next size up.

Care. Cool wash and dry flat. Hanging a wet jumper is what pulls the shoulders out of shape, and no amount of folding afterwards puts them back.
