Calvin Klein men's jeans — slim, straight, tapered and skinny fits in stretch and rigid denim, across light, mid, dark and black washes. The denim is the strongest part of the CK range: good weight, honest construction, and stretch blends that keep their shape rather than bagging at the knee.

Which fit

Straight is the safest and works over a boot. Slim tapers below the knee without gripping the thigh — the fit that suits most men. Tapered is roomier at the top and narrower at the ankle, good if you carry more through the thigh. Skinny is cut close the whole way down and is the youngest of the four.

CK Jeans runs slimmer and younger than the main Calvin Klein line. If you are between two waist sizes in stretch denim, take the smaller — stretch gives, rigid denim does not.

Care. Wash dark denim inside out at 30 and hang to dry. Every wash takes some indigo out, so wash less often than you think.
