Wedding Suit Hire

Not every wedding party needs to buy. If you'd rather hire, our Ennis store has suits and tuxedos to hire for grooms, groomsmen and fathers of the bride. Every hire is measured, fitted and pressed by the same team that has been dressing Clare wedding parties for over 90 years.

Hire is available in adult sizes. Page boys can be matched with a suit to buy from our boys and page boy suits.

How wedding suit hire works

  1. Book a fitting or Call Instore. Three to four weeks before the wedding is plenty, and we can be flexible if your date is closer. The groom usually comes in first to choose the look.
  2. Get measured. Each member of the party is measured in Ennis or Kilrush. Anyone living away can send us their measurements, and we'll talk them through it over the phone.
  3. Final fitting and collection. Collect on whatever day before the wedding suits you. Everyone tries on in store, and our in-house tailors can make small adjustments on the spot.
  4. Return. Bring everything back on a day that suits you after the wedding. You don't need to clean it; we do that.

Hire or buy?

Hiring suits a one-off black tie event, a groomsman who lives abroad, or a party that wants to keep costs down. Buying makes sense if you'll wear the suit again, and most grooms do.

  • Remus Uomo in stock all year. The Remus Lucian (slim fit) and Palucci (tapered fit) three piece suits in navy, blue and black are always in stock, so there's no waiting for an order.

Serving Clare, Limerick and Galway

Wedding parties come to our Ennis store from across Clare, Limerick, Galway and the Mid-West. We are about 40 minutes from Limerick and an hour from Galway, and there is also our Kilrush store for West Clare parties.

Suit hire FAQs

How far in advance should we book?
Three to four weeks before the wedding is plenty for most parties. We're flexible, so if your date is closer, just call us. We carry a large stock with suits changing regularly insures you get the best selection. 

Which days can we collect and return?
Any day that suits you. Just let us know when you book.

Do we need to pay a deposit?
No. We don't normally take a deposit on hire.

Can groomsmen who live abroad hire?
Yes. Send us their chest, waist, inside leg, height and weight, and they can try everything on when they collect. Our tailors can make adjustments then.

Can page boys hire?
Hire is adult sizes only, but we have a range of boys' and page boy suits to buy so they can match the party.

What happens if a hire suit is damaged or comes back late?
Accidents happen. We look at each case individually and will talk it through with you.

Do you hire suits for other events?
