BOSS or HUGO? The two lines explained

The most common question we get about this brand, and the labels do very little to help.

BOSS is the main line, and the one most men want. Classic, clean, quietly branded, cut for a broad range of ages and builds. This is the tailoring, the polo shirts, the knitwear and the shoes.

HUGO is the younger line. Slimmer through the body and the sleeve, louder with the logo, more streetwear in feel.

Same company — founded in Metzingen, Germany, in 1924 — but they fit differently and sit at different price points.

What lasts

The polo shirts and knitwear are where the quality shows: heavier cotton than the high street, collars that hold their shape, colour that survives a season. The tailoring is well made for the money and the shoes are properly constructed leather rather than glued fashion footwear.

Around the range

Boss polo shirts and t-shirts sit alongside the rest of our range, and the knitwear layers well under a coat or jacket. The Boss wallets are among our most reliable gifts, and the shoes and boots range carries the formal styles. Click and collect available on everything.
