Which pair

The Carnaby is the one most people picture: a low white leather court shoe with a slim sole, and the easiest to wear with almost anything. The Lerond is lighter and more minimal again. Slam Break and T-Clip sit on a chunkier sole with more going on — more of a statement, and better with a slimmer trouser.

Sizing and care

Lacoste trainers come up true to size in UK, though the leather court styles are cut narrow through the toe box. If you have a broad foot, go half a size up.

White leather stays white if you deal with marks the day they happen — a damp cloth and a little soap, not the washing machine. A tumble in a machine will crack the leather and unglue the sole.
